Source of Joy

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you all in the name of Our Great God: JESUS!

God has been good to Living Water since day one of the ministry. We moved from no building to having four different buildings, and two of them are two-story high buildings. We were only a handful of people to start with, and now God has blessed us with about two thousand people to minister to when we total the two churches and the schools.

We have seen many people turned from darkness to light. We have rejoiced with many people who are freed from demonic possessions. We feel privileged to have partners from many States of the Union, including beautiful Alaska.

Those partners pray with us and for us.  They write.  They give. They send very important vehicles and other machines for daily use, and they encourage us. Many of them have traveled to see us. When they come they do physical labor. They preach. They teach. They train people in different areas. They give medical care. They feed our students. They cheer us. They advise us. They comfort us. They entertain us. They work with us on the future of Living Water.

These wonderful blessings, and many others, we have experienced over the last seven years. My brothers and sisters, I wish I could find a deeper term than “source of joy” to use when thinking about these blessings. I am pretty confident that they are a source of joy to you too. Allow me to thank you for continuing to lengthen the list of reasons to have joy while in His service.

You were aware that we had Seth, Lucma (my brother) and Melinda with us for the whole summer. Amanda, Leez, Branson, J. J., Daniel, Walter, and Corey Courtwright were with us for one week or more during the summer. Our sister Regina wanted to come, but an unfortunate accident while playing with her grandson prevevented her from coming.  Brother Felix Guerra was not able to come with brother Corey. Those who were able to come brought us much joy. The willingness to come from those who were not able to make it to Haiti is a source of joy.  They could not make it because of circumstances beyond their reach. Praise God for all His servants!

Another source of joy is the progress on the cafeteria. The project continues to go forward.  In fact today they started to lay blocks. We have a long way to go, but all progress counts. We still have a long way to go, yet we see every inch of progress as a source of joy.

Hidden blessings

Hidden blessings

Humanly speaking, we may not like the trials and persecutions we face here from demons and other people who are bad-mouthing the success of this ministry. But Apostle James petitions us to count it all “Joy” when we face trials and persecutions for the cause of Christ. For some of us it may not make sense.  But whether it makes sense or not, this is not the issue here.  The issue here is to consider it “pure joy” when we suffer for Christ. We need to learn to count it as a source of joy our trials and persecutions. God knows what we don’t know yet, and perhaps what we will never know.

Yesterday was the last day of Government testing for our 13th graders. The reports from our students about the exams sound good.  While we are waiting for the official results from the Gov. we consider their reports a source of joy. Pray for them all: 6th graders, 9th graders, 12th and 13th graders. They all took the govt exams.

We have had rain consistently every afternoon this week. For the farmers, that is a source of joy. However many other people (including my wife) don’t see it that way. It brings back too many bad memories of the floods here. So, we have to consider it as a source of joy that human beings are faced with the reality that they don’t have the last word in many things. God does! This knowledge itself is a source of joy.

I have included several pictures. In the fourth one “Hidden blessings” you can observe many things: water tanks (on the roof) that contain purified water, the bobcat and the progress on the cafeteria. These blessings make our lives much easier. They help us save money and energy. Thanks to God and to you for them.

You are my joy. I want to thank you for your prayers addressed to God on my behalf. Please continue to do so. We pray for you too.

Please pray for our friend Pat Croll. Pat is the wife of our brother and friend Ken Croll. Ken is the designer of our website and who consistently keeps it updated. Pray for healing for Pat.

  • Pray for the completion of the cafeteria.
  • Pray for the construction of the Church, we need workers, funds, etc.
  • Pray for the leadership of Living Water.
  • Pray for Haiti.

May God bless you for our sake and for the sake of His Kingdom.

In Him,
Salonique Adolphe and team
