Cafeteria Construction

Cafeteria Construction

God is busy here!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in His name!

This past week was exceptional. We had the bus pulled out of the mud. They are still working on it. We hope that it will be back in the streets by the end of the weekend.

Also this past week the preparation for the roof of the cafeteria resumed. The iron workers are almost done with their chores. The dump trucks have already started to dump loads of gravel and sand in preperation. They are also preparing to purchase cement bags for the mixing of the concrete. Jude, our contractor, is quite confident that next week the pouring of the concrete for the roof of the cafeteria will be done. I am looking forward to that.

Church Service

We had a great worship service yesterday. Christian, a twelfth grade student at Living Water, led the worship service. I preached the first of a series entitled “News upon News”. It is all Good News. The first news was the first after 400 years of silence. The angel Gabriel told Zachariah and I paraphrased, “Your prayer has been answered. You are going to be dad and many will be elated because of that.”

The children’s Church resumed yesterday after three months. Elson is not here to lead them anymore because he has gone to college. Jackson is the one who is taking over. He has been working alongside of Elson for several years now. Robin and Jude’s Wife Myrlande will continue to serve the junior Church as well.

Also last weekend the new generator was installed. It started to work last Saturday. It is a very quite one and this time they put it on the upper level.

Also this past weekend the photocopier arrived. We got it after several years of dire needs. Thanks be to God.

We thank all of you who give so that we can continue with the work of helping the people in the community of Gonaives. Hundred of children are in school. Thousands of people are being served in various capacities to make their lives better. God bless you all.
